Netizens of the world that show allegiance to this ‘
Bbuddah’, may I bring you up to date on a piece of news. The Times of India published a report on the recent film promos launched and what their numbers on the net were ..
And …. WE ARE LEADING BY MILES !!!!
BHTB has garnered approximately 1,79,000 hits or views or whatever the measurement scales are. And the next is a good 40,000 behind. The rest are all in the 70,000 figure. This is amazing and I have to give it to all you EF and your massive effort in spreading the virus. This is absolutely incredible and fills my heart with such joy. Just shows that when we want to do something together we are indeed a force to reckon with. Well done all .. a big hug and a kiss to everyone !!
BUT … now that we have established a lead … lets keep it !! So do not let up. Keep at it guys and dolls and whoever else there are that assist in this endeavor. We have to keep hammering it in and spreading the word. Soon the production company Viacom shall be asking details of the EF members and will be preparing a detailed curriculum of how we need to get across to as many as we can ! Hope this has your concurrence !! If not .. no problem, we can still work it out individually ! Love you !!
The new dialogue and theme promo seems to have gone down well. I keep getting messages from all kinds of quarters. Strangers that I meet on the street, on set and at social events talk of their fondness for the film and the need to see it as soon as possible ! So do I dear people, so do I … !!
And more … Abhishek and I will be doing another promo together for the film. It will be shot soon, with Abhishek singing some extra portions from the song that he has already sung. Then there is a Punjabi number promo, a ‘Haal e Dil’ promo … and that should take us to the release date !
Ok enough of promos and ‘Bbuddah’ …
The unit lined up this evening as we wrapped shoot by the sea in Versova. Had been there all day in turbulent waters taking some patch shots of Hema ji and myself. The tide was rough and uncertain. The clouds kept showing up in bursts, the waters were not clean, but we got the work done ! Its always an emotional moment when the film ends. The people that connect and work so hard for the film, selflessly, are often forgotten. Today all they wanted was a keep sake photograph. A small request, for a body of work that they have been associated with for the past two months !
Prakash Jha came over to discuss ‘Aarakshan’ and what he is planning with its promotion. Tomorrow we meet the press for the first look, then he has graciously advised that I should concentrate on ‘Bbuddah’ and only connect with his film after the release. Sensible I thought and wise too. Saw some show reels of it and it looks a powerful film, meaningful and strong. Perhaps the first issue based film that I have done ! Hmmm …
Love to all … and a happy birthday to Tejas .. and for the 7th for Amitabh Zibbu …
