With the clock ticking down to the release of 'Brahmastra', director Ayan Mukerji is going all out to keep the buzz alive.

After kicking off the countdown with a clip of leading man Ranbir Kapoor, the filmmaker on Wednesday sent out Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to fans by sharing a new teaser clip that saw Amitabh Bachchan in action.

Wielding the Prabhastra or the Sword of Light, the clip sees Bachchan as the character Guru, going up against the forces of evil. "Miliye Guru aur unke Prabhāstra se bas 9 days mein! In cinemas from 9th September," read the official description.

Revealing why he picked September 9 as the release date for his film, Ayan said in his post, "Lucky auspicious number 9… given we are releasing on 09.09! Happy Ganesh Chaturthi."

The film that is the first part of a trilogy, also stars Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna in lead roles. The story follows Shiva – a young man, who is on the brink of an epic love story, with a girl named Isha. But their world is turned upside down because Shiva learns that he has a mysterious connection to the Brahmastra and a great power within him that he doesn’t understand just yet.
