'Bbuddah' Hits Back! Big B Returns To Angry Image With New Flick
He may not be young any more, but Big B, it seems, is still quite an angry man. At least that's what the full title of his next release, 'Bbuddah – Hoga Terra Baap!', seems to suggest.
Produced by Bachchan's AB Corp, the film, so far known as 'Budda' to those in the cinem...a circuit, went on the floors on Monday, March 7, 2011. The full title of the film was revealed the previous night when Amitabh tweeted to his fans on Sunday saying he would join the film's unit as soon as he was done shooting for Prakash Jha's 'Aarakshan' in Bhopal.
The new title, 'Bbuddah – Hoga Terra Baap!', has been met with the virtual version of hoots and catcalls, with everyone loving it. While composer Shekhar Ravjiani, one half of duo Vishal Shekhar, thought it was "one of the coolest titles ever", Big B's 'Sarkar' director RGV tweeted in saying that Bachchan was back with a "super duper tag line".
However, the most interesting comment came in from the junior Bachchan. An excited Abhishek's posts were revealing, saying that it was the first day of AB Corp's new film and that "The Big B is back to doing what we love to see him do. Might not be that young but he's definitely ANGRY!"
Directed by southern ace Puri Jagannadh, 'Bbuddah' brings the Big B back on screen after quite a hiatus, given that his last Bollywood release was the damp 'Teen Patti', back in February 2010. Starring Hema Malini, Sonu Sood and Raveena Tandon, the film has created quite a buzz in 'filmy' circles for the new, young looking dyed beard look that Bachchan will be sporting in it. And now, with Abhishek letting out the fact that Amitabh will be getting back to his 'angry' ways in the film, perhaps it's time that Bollywood's big guns got ready for some real competition!
