Amitabh Bachchan, the Shehanshah of bollywood who is modesty personified and an exception in tinsel town, has been receiving abusive messages in unprintable language on his mobile as well as on his blog.
An anguished Amitabh Bachchan writes on his blog that this person was violating all norms of civilized behavior and had been torturing him though his hate mails for quite some time now. When he could not take it any further, the doyen of Indian cinema approached the police to deal with the miscreant.
As Big B writes, 'there is a serious effort by a member who writes and comments in a language that is abusive, filthy and utterly disgusting.' The disturbing thing is that the miscreant started acting nasty by writing abuses and other things on Amitabh Bachchan's blog but later gradated to sending even smses on his mobile.
Obviously, the person is well- connected as to have Big B's personal mobile number. Big B has also indicated in his writings that the person might be operating from some other country.
As Amitabh writes that police will take action in this country as well as in the country of his origin, indicating that he might have some inkling of the nasty person.
However, Mumbai police say that though they were aware of the abusive messages to Amitabh Bachchan, no official report had yet been filed by Amitabh Bachchan.
The officials point out that they could initiate any official enquiry only after a complaint had been lodged with them about the matter.
Even a family member of Amitabh Bachchan can lodge the complaint for the police to be able to actively investigate the matter by its cyber crime branch.
However, it is strange that Amitabh is so disturbed by the abusive language but till now has refrained from lodging any official complaints against the person.
The industry received the news of Big B's abuse with shock and unbelief. In fact, it was really hard to believe that someone can abuse Amitabh, who had been deservingly crowned as the 'star of the millennium' and honored with his 'wax statue' presence at Tussauds' museum in London.
