The mystery woman who sizzles in an item number with actor Amitabh Bachchan in Teen Patti is being sought by filmmakers keen to cast her. But she is nowhere to be found. The sexy actress, who seduces Big B in the hit song, Teri Neeyat Kharab Hai, has become the talk of the town since the release of the music video. She has been identified as Brazilian model Maria.

Teen Patti director Leena Yadav says Maria has gone incommunicado. She had to be replaced at the last minute by another dancer, Olga, who danced with Bachchan at a recent awards function.

"She told me before leaving for Brazil that she will be back in Mumbai in December, but she never came," says Yadav. "I receive ten calls a day from people in the industry keen to sign her for their films. But we are not in touch with her and I am trying to look for her contact."

Yadav and choreographer Ashley Lobo chose Maria out of 50 contenders for the dance sequence. "I spotted vibes of Salma Hayek in Maria. She danced like a dream and her expressions say it all about her acting potential," Yadav said.

She said Maria had been "superbly solid" during the shoot. "We were left with one day when we got her and this song is a result of just a day's workshop training. She delivered a powerful performance without any hitch," said Leena.

Kochi, Feb 8 (IANS) Director Major Ravi says that Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has given his nod for his Malayalam film "Kandahar", a film about plane hijacking that will also star veteran Mohanlal.

The news came when Big B had made a short visit to the city Sunday.

Speaking to reporters, Ravi, a former NSG commando who had directed two films featuring Mohanlal, said that he is just trying to imagine how the two greats would come in one single frame. "It is great feeling when I think of that," he said.

Amitabh will be seen as the father of a passenger on the ill-fated plane that has been hijacked and Mohanlal will play a commando.

The film is inspired by the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC-814 in 1999. It was hijacked while on its way from Kathmandu to New Delhi on Christmas eve by five Pakistani militants and was forced to land in three different airports - Amritsar, Lahore, and Dubai - before spending a week on the tarmac in Kandahar with 186 hostages on board.

This is Ravi's fourth film after "Keerthichakara" and "Kuruskshetra", both featuring Mohanlal, and "Mission 90 Days", which told the real story of Ravi who tracked down the killers of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. Mammootty played Ravi's role in the film.

"Khandahar" will be shot in Delhi, Nepal besides Kerala.

Kochi, Feb 7 (IANS) Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who arrived on a visit here Sunday, said Mumbai, where he has lived for over four decades, is "fine" and healthy.

"Mumbai's health is fine," Bachchan replied at a function here when reporters asked him about the recent Shiv Sena activities that have triggered tensions in the city.

"Please, I have come here to your state for a good thing, to launch a health programme," Amitabh Bachchan said.

This led to the next question that the query was relevant because it concerned the health of Mumbai, prompting his response.

Bachchan was in the city to launch a health project of the Resul Pookutty Foundation and a private hospital which will treat the poor and needy.

He also donated Rs.11 lakh to the foundation.

Bangalore, Feb 5 (IANS) Kannada actor Sudeep, who was seen as Amitabh Bachchan's over-ambitious son in "Rann", says he has fulfilled his mother's dream by working with the megastar in the movie.

"I think working with Amitabh Bachchan in a film is an achievement for me. It was my mother's dream that I should work with a legendary actor like Amithabh Bachchan. I am happy that it has materialised now," said Sudeep who is set to direct a Hindi film, which will be a remake of his just released Kannada film "Maath Maathnalli".

Talking about his experiences of working with Big B, he said: "I was a little apprehensive on the first day of the shoot. I was introduced to Amitabh Bachchan by Ram Gopal Varma. He said, 'Hello Sudeep'. And I just said, 'Hi sir'.

"I did not speak to him much during the shoot because I did not want to be overwhelmed by his presence. But on the last day, I spoke to him at length."

Sudeep was introduced in Bollywood by Varma with "Phoonk". After the spooky thriller became a box office hit, the actor got two more Hindi films from his mentor - "Phoonk II" and "Raktha Charithra".

He has already completed the shoot of "Phoonk II", but he is yet to finish his work in "Raktha Charitha" where he plays an important role along with Vivek Oberoi, Shatrughan Sinha and Tamil actor Surya.

"After completing my work in 'Phoonk', I did not expect too many Hindi film offers coming to me. I was also busy in Kannada films. Just a few days after the release of 'Phoonk', I got a call from Ram Gopal Varma - he told me that he will make 'Phoonk' sequel with me.

"But before I started working for 'Phoonk II', I got a surprise call from Ramu. He said if I am not busy then I have an offer from him to work in 'Rann'. The fact that I will be working with Bachchanji excited me. I did not hear the story because it was a story approved by AB sir," he said.

Sudeep also reveals that Varma is set to do a bilingual in Hindi and Kannada called "Nirnay".

"He revealed this to me on the last day shoot of 'Phoonk II'. 'Nirnay' will be in Kannada and Hindi. It will be a huge production. Ram Gopal Varma told me that he may need some Kannada artists for the Kannada version of the film. He also assured me that if he finds them suitable for Hindi film and if they can speak in Hindi, he may use them in the Hindi film. I was very happy to hear him saying that," said Sudeep.
