Amitabh Bachchan has described his pride on receiving an award at the same time as his son.
The 72-year-old actor and Abhishek Bachchan, 38, were nominated in different categories for their movies Bhootnath Returns and Happy New Year at the Big Star Entertainment Awards in Mumbai on Thursday (December 18)
Writing on Twitter, Amitabh said: "T 1710 -There are very few occasions in life when Father and Son get decorated on the same platform, same time, same day ! A moment of pride"
Abhishek has been lauded for his comic turn as Nandu Bhide, the 'baap of all taporis', in musical heist Happy New Year.
He won the award for Best Supporting Actor and Entertainer of the Year at the Masala Awards.
He also recently revealed that the cast of Happy New Year are pressuring director Farah Khan to come up with a story for a sequel.
